  • How do I protect myself from fraud when using the PayPal My Cash Card to load funds to my PayPal Account?
    The PayPal My Cash chit is for self-use only - only use it to load funds to your own PayPal Account. If anyone asks for your My Cash Card PIN number or information from your receipt, it's probably a scam. Don't give your My Cash Card PIN number to pay for something you buy through the classifieds or to collect a prize or sweepstakes. Do not give away your PIN or receipt information to any other party. If you give away your My Cash Card PIN number or information about the purchase transaction, the provider is not responsible for paying you back for any loss. The funds are not insured against loss.
  • What is the PayPal My Cash Card?
    The PayPal My Cash Card allows you to turn the cash in your wallet into electronic funds in your PayPal account. With the PayPal My Cash Card, you don't need to use a bank account or credit card to send money or purchase items with your PayPal account. It's fast and secure.
  • How does the PayPal My Cash Card work?
    1. Take your cash to a participating retailer.
    2. Buy a My Cash Card at any participating retailer.
    3. Visit www.paypal-cash.com and follow instructions to send the cash loaded onto your Card to your PayPal account.
    4. You can reuse your My Cash Card to reload your PayPal account.
      1. Snap off bottom of your My Cash Card.
      2. Take to your favorite My Cash retailer.
      3. Present card to cashier and request to load $20 - $500. Reload fee may apply.
      4. Cashier will swipe your card. Funds are instantly loaded to your PayPal online account.
  • What information will I need to provide to add money to my PayPal account with a My Cash Card?
    PayPal collects and verifies your legal name, address, date of birth and Social Security number in order to confirm your identity before you can use a My Cash Card to add money to your PayPal account.
  • Why do you need to verify my information? Are you doing a credit check?
    For security reasons, PayPal verifies identity information using a national database. This is NOT a credit check and will not affect your credit rating.
  • Why couldn't PayPal verify my personal information?
    PayPal uses a national database to obtain a positive match of legal name, address, date of birth, and Social Security number. If we are unable to verify your personal information via this database, we will ask you to provide additional proof of identity via the PayPal Resolution Center. To access the Resolution Center, log in to your PayPal account and click Resolution Center near the top of the page. In the event where we are unable to verify your identity you may request a refund via the My Cash website. You must be logged in to request a refund. Click here to login to My Cash.
  • Are there any fees with the My Cash Card?
    There is a $3.95 activation fee required when you purchase your My Cash Card.
  • Can I use more than one My Cash Card to load my PayPal balance?
    Yes. However, please be aware that you may only load a maximum of $500 per day and $4,000 per month to your PayPal account using My Cash Cards.
  • How much money can I add to my PayPal account using a My Cash Card?
    Once your information has been verified, you can add up to $500 per day and up to $4,000 a month.
  • Why did PayPal reject my My Cash Card load?

  • Is my My Cash Card reusable?
    Yes, once you have redeemed the PIN included on the back of your My Cash Card to load funds to your PayPal account, your Card is then permanently associated with that account and may be used to conveniently load funds to that account as long as it remains valid. A fee may be charged for each such subsequent loading of funds to your PayPal account at the time of the load transaction - see a participating retailer for details and fee amounts.
  • How can I request a refund for an unused My Cash card?
    In the event where we are unable to verify your identity you may request a refund via the My Cash website. You must be logged in to request a refund. After logging in, come back to this FAQ menu option to access the refund option. Click here to login to My Cash. Except where otherwise required by law, all refund requests will be considered on a case-by-case basis and may be granted or refused in our sole discretion.
  • How soon are funds available to me?
    PayPal My Cash Card allows you to use the fund immediately after reloading your prepaid card. However, some retailers require a brief waiting period before your funds are available.
